Why We Celebrate Fathers

This video celebrates what’s meaningful about fathers, their ideal role in our lives, and knowing that the best definition of an earthly father comes in how he reflects the nature of our Heavenly Father.

Free

Paul reminds us in Galatians 51 that Christ has set us free, but it’s very easy to fall back into slavery. This mini-movie, featuring the song “Beautiful Things” by Gungor, is a powerful reminder that we have been set free.

Christ's death and resurrection means that we are invited to join God in his plan to redeem this broken world. It's not just a wishful idea; it's a call to every follower of Jesus to change the world.

Preview - Big But

Seems we have all kinds of excuses not to do the things we ought to be doing. Simple truth of the matter is... we all have Big Buts that get in the way of us consistently living a sold-out life for Jesus. This comical look at the subject of excuses might just get your whole church agreeing that it's time to "shrink the but".

22 The Lord heard Elijah's cry, and the boy's life returned to him, and he lived. 23 Elijah picked up the child and carried him down from the room into the house. He gave him to his mother and said, “Look, your son is alive!"

Church Media | Elijah pics...

The story of Elijah is epic for the Christian faith and I always enjoy hearing sermons delivered on the subject. As our focus here is on Church Media, I’ve recently come across a powerful sermon illustration video on Elijah that I would love to highlight.

Elijah is produced by Dan Stevers. This illustration video summarizes the story of Elijah in dramatic form. Having recently used the video to open a series on Elijah, the response from it was excellent.

The video opens with dramatic scenes from the life of Elijah. It flows much like that of a blockbuster movie trailer minus the million-dollar budget. I appreciated the use of the Hebrew language in a few of the scenes, which felt authentic. The portrayal of the altar being lit up by God as Elijah was praying was really well done. All of this together gives the viewers a visual connection to the character and story of Elijah.

This is exactly what a great sermon illustration video should accomplish. Viewers will enjoy visual snapshot prior to diving into scripture and see it on the page. If you’re planning for a series on Elijah or just looking for a great sermon series idea, this video illustration would play a great supporting role.
